I have a Combi tandem that I really like - care to add its specs? I got it at Costco really reasonably, but it looks like they are no longer offering it.

My two are 10 1/2 months apart. I saw the Kolcraft Contour and fell in love with it. I have had it since right before my second was born. It was perfect for my daughter and my newborn. I love it. I didn't find it that heavy. I love that the seats have so many different configurations. If they are getting along they face each other, but if fights erupt they get separated easily.

Kolcraft Contour was a little expensive, but we found it brand new on ebay and saved a ton!

What about the Baby Trend Double Sit and Stand with a removable second seat?

Is there such a thing as a double stroller with a removable car seat for the newborn?
Posted by: Liana | Feb 19, 2009 at 08:50 PM
I have had the following double strollers:
Graco DuoGlider
Phil & Ted Sport w/ doubles
Eddie Bauer Transit Tandem
Jane Powertwin
Combi Twin Savvy
Peg Perego Aria Twin
& NOW... Baby Jogger City Elite Double
BY FAR, I love the BJ the best. Not even in the same league as the rest! Super maneuverable, easy to push! Only complaint is that it is heavy! Otherwise, I love it. I am thinking now that my 16 mos aparter's are going on 3 & 4, that I will down grade to the single version which has a 'jump seat' you can attach if you need a ride for 2.
Happy Strollin!

I just have to say that I love, love, love my Zooper Tango. My bunch consists of a strapping 16 month old boy and a tiny 6 week old baby girl. It's one of the few strollers I found that was compatible with our infant seat (Chicco). It's roomy for my big boy and cozy for my newborn (even without the carseat attached). again...love, love, love it.
Posted by: Heather | Feb 23, 2009 at 11:14 PM
any reviews of triples? I have two boys 14 months apart and am due this june with #3 - my oldest will be 2 1/2 and youngest will be 16 months - trying to find input on a stroller
Posted by: Aurora | Mar 03, 2009 at 06:02 PM
I just got the Valco Twin Latitude for my 18 mo. old and my 7 week old. I researched a lot and decided that manuverability was the most important thing. My only complaint is the canopy that comes with the infant car seat attachment. The attachment doesn't allow you to use the regular canopy that comes with the stroller, so you have to take the canopies off to use the attachment which has only a canopy for the non-car seat child. The worst part is that the canopy provided with the car seat attachment has a flat top, so it doesn't give good protection from the sun at all! It's basically pointless. For the price of the stroller they should have designed it better.

Anybody have any info./feedback about the Bumbleride Indie? We have a Chicco Keyfit Infant Carrier and are wondering what other Bunchers think. Thanks in advance!
Posted by: Katherine Rosania | Apr 03, 2009 at 11:29 AM
I have the Peg Perego Aria Twin and the BOB Revolution double AWD - both of which accomodate infant car seats - at least theoretically. The Peg is just ok but the BOB is GLORIOUS!! It is an amazing stroller.
Posted by: dina freeman | Apr 08, 2009 at 02:28 PM
I agree- the BoB is GLorious! It has saved my sanity and I love it so much. I also have a Graco Duoglider that I use for the mall only. It works but is not good for long outdoor walks.
Posted by: Knowles | Apr 08, 2009 at 09:48 PM
I never met a double stroller that I liked. And boy did I try. I appreciate your reviews and agree with them, but am sad to find there's no hands-down winner.
For my bunch, despite my desperate desire to strap them both in a stroller at the same time, we usually did bjorn the baby and push the toddler in the maclaran or bucket/snapngo the infant and grab the toddler's hand.
Now that they're older, we will use a side by side baby jogger (not sure of make and model) that works for walks around the neighborhood but doesn't fit through doors and doesn't load easily into the car.
We had, and got rid of, the sit n stand deluxe because it was unwieldy and heavy.
We had, for a nanny share, a double side by side Chicco that was slightly narrower but overall still too unwieldy and heavy.

I was just wondering if anyone has used the Uppababy Vista with the rumble seat and whatever the board thing is called so it can be used for up to 3 kids.
Right now I have a Phil and Ted which I LOVE, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the Vista.

I've seen stroller connectors around, and I'm wondering if anyone has used those before? It looks like a cheap solution to turn two strollers into one. Does anyone know if it works well? My mom was talking about getting two umbrella strollers and a connector to live at her house for when we visit.
Posted by: Amanda | Jun 15, 2009 at 12:20 AM
I have 2 kids 16 months apart and although I thought I would NEVER have a double stroller but with 2 kids that close I caved. I'm so glad I did. I bought the Phil and Ted's e3 with the doubler and we Love LOve LOVe LOVE it!!!! I'd used a friends side by side and pushed her twins in it and it was awful too wide and hard to push. The e3 is easy to push--even single handedly. It folds up so nice and is so versatile. When my littlest one was a baby he could lay down flat while my daughter could ride high up front. Now they ride easily back and front or I can easily take off the back seat and have a single stroller. Narrow easy for shopping bike trails anywhere!!
Posted by: April | Jul 03, 2009 at 08:59 PM
I bought stroller connectors for $10 at babiesrus. They work suprisingly well. It's optimal if you have identical strollers, but even with off size ones it works pretty well. I have a chicco capri and a $10 umbrella and they are very easy to maneuver together. The only downside is the same you'll have with any double side by side. It's wide. Overall it's great.
Posted by: G | Jul 13, 2009 at 06:10 PM
I bought a $200 steelcraft 3 wheeler back in 2004 from Kmart and it fell to bits!!!
I still have it but the wheels punchured with out any sort of force and the screws all snapped etc and the seat is HARD to put down to recline the front clip broke LOTS WENT WRONG-i then bought a $30 stroller from target and it was horrible!
So this time we have gone all out and gotten the Phil and Ted's Vibe in red and black LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Baby Jogger City Mini Double is AMAZING!!! My kids are 18 months apart and I have owned it for 6 months. I still get very excited every time I take it out of my trunk to use it. I highly recommend it!!!

Has anyone seen in person the new Peg Perego GT3 for Two out this year? I've begun seeing it on some online retailers, but haven't yet read any reviews. It looks a lot like a Phil & Teds with a double kit attached. I'm also curious if anyone's compared the the two. None of my local retailers seem to be carrying it or will only sell it online. It's about $650 so I'm hoping to see some thoughts on it before plunking down the $$$. Despite decent descriptions online, it's just not the same thing as seeing it in person and experiencing maneuverability, etc. that you just don't get seeing it online.
I have a 17 mo. toddler and am expecting #2 in July so I'm trying to research strollers now.

I was wondering if anyone has used the instep double joggers? I am looking at one of these or the baby trend double jogger. I cannot afford the price of some of the better strollers out there, and unfortunately we see a ton of snow here and a tandem just won't work. Thanks for any advice.
Posted by: Lisa Jack | Mar 22, 2010 at 06:15 PM
Lisa,
I had the Instep stroller when we lived in Sweden. I bought it for the same reason....price. Quite honestly, I hated it. I needed all-terrain wheels. The middle divider isnt more than just a bit of material...or at least it was. My oldest would lean over onto my youngest and make her scream. The two seats sit very close together so its easy to do that. Even my double umbrella had a bar that separated the two seats. The front wheel was wobbly. I had read that on the reviews and if I tried to any running with it, the whole stroller would shake. I found it to be very wide and couldnt get it through most doorways. It was light and fit in the back of my Honda Civic. I was so excited when I sold it. I really wished Id bought a better stroller second hand.
Good luck!

I had a Phil and Ted's Dash and hated it. Honestly, I usually wear my younger son anyway and use my Maclaren for the toddler. With summer approaching and living in the South, I knew I'd need to find a double I could live with. My complaints about the Phil and Ted's were: extremely difficult to fold to the point that I was not motivated to use it for anything other than walks around the neighborhood, horrible sunshade and no shade for the baby in the back (a must in Alabama), didn't steer well with the doubles attachment, and my 11 month old was almost too tall for the 2nd seat.
So I recently bought a Baby Jogger City Mini double and love it. It folds easily, has awesome sunshades, and is a dream to steer.
Posted by: Michelle | Mar 22, 2010 at 08:48 PM
If you are looking for a double but might end up with 3 kids I would get the Valco and add the toddler jump seat. Our kids are 4,2,1 and one due in Dec and we love it. The kids love riding in it especially the "jumpseat." I don't bring it in the car much, it's a little clunky for that but we walk to school, grocery, parks etc. in it almost everyday. It fits through doorways very easily. It's pretty easy to push, just heavy going uphills, and so much easier than dealing with 3 car seats! The basket underneath is really hard to get things in and out of but i just have hooks for that.
Just be prepared for all the comments you'll get from passer-bys.."wow, now that's a load" "that's some stroller" etc. etc.

Some time ago, I really needed to buy a good car for my firm but I didn't earn enough money and could not order something. Thank goodness my friend suggested to try to take the loan from banks. Hence, I acted that and used to be happy with my secured loan.

Anyone tried the new Chico double stroller? I have a 22 month old and am expecting #2 any day. We tried it in the store and liked it (as much as you can like a double). I feel like I need a double stroller so I can get out.
Posted by: marie | Sep 30, 2010 at 12:04 PM
Another great but somewhat unusual stroller not on the list: the Runabout by Berg Design. I have the double (a tandem) but they also make strollers for 3, 4, 5, and even 6. It's perfect for long walks in our hilly neighborhood but not at all practical for "tossing" in the car for errands. There's an optional trailer hitch accessory... It's also better than a lot of double strollers I tried for "big" babies/toddlers.

For an inexpensive, no frills double stroller, purchase two umbrella strollers (approx. $15/each) and stroller links (less than $10). The nice part is if at some point you only have one child to transport you have a single stroller ready to go without have to store and additional stroller.

My blessings are 18 months apart and we tried MANY double strollers! We bought the Joovy caboose Ultralight only to be disappointed because or 18 month old thought diving off the little platform in back was the coolest thing since pb&j :) My Husband finally broke down and bought the valco tri mode ex. It's amazing!! Well worth every single cent paid for it! It is a bit bulky to fit into a standard sedan trunk but it's fine in a van/suv. Great in stores or on trails and it steers one handedly!! Awesome now that my son is older and likes to walk a fair bit of the time (That free hand is incredibly valuable!) I love the optional add-ons!

I was just looking into the baby trend stroller for our first 'set' of munchkins. They are 2 and 4, 15 months apart. They have just recently outgrown our Graco double (which is big, heavy, and hard to push). But our little ones, 9 months and #4 due in October, will be moving into it. It seemed like the baby trend is an affordable option because at 3 and 4 we only need it for big trips like the zoo, and long walks. Otherwise, they are certainly old enough to walk.

Taller parents should look for strollers with adjustable handle heights so they don't have to stoop. Choose a stroller that makes corners smoothly, especially if you'll use it in crowded places.

It is great that we can take the personal loans moreover, that opens up new opportunities.

Does anybody know anything about the Double Baby Trend Expedition? I need something that I could take to the mall and use for walks/run outside on roads and trails. I have a 3 year old and a 4 month old.

We use a baby pack. It’s like a back pack, but goes in front of us. I have to say though that there is surely a place for our pushchair.Sometimes carrying our little one gets a bit tiring, especially when we’re out for long periods of time. I suggest one of these:http://www.silvercross.co.uk/prams-and-travel-systems/

This is a very functional stroller I think I'll suggest this one to my aunt. It comes with a reasonable price too.

Aloha Ladies,
I am now pregnant with my 2nd baby (3 months along) and have a 1 year old baby boy. I am in search for 1 stroller for my baby boot camp outings, hiking and jogging and one that is light and easy to use for mall outings and general usage. I have a terrible back so my main concern is weight. It apears that all of the ones on these ratings are heavy and you can't detach the car seat and put into car (i.e if baby is sleeping in car and we want to put directly into the stroller. I own a bob and love it because I can go from car to stroller without waking baby and it is good for him now that he is bigger. Ladies..help.. Please assist me in finding 2 strollers that may grow a little with them as they get bigger and of course when my baby is little and stuff. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Baby jogger stroller has an amazing solution with an incredibly versatile city stroller, which has more configuration and options to consider in any kinds of stroller I’ve ever seen.

When I had my second I wasn't sure if I was ever going to get a double stroller because I always though they were so wide and bulky! Thankfully I found that the Baby Jogger model was perfect! It's compact, folds down easily, and is lightweight even for a double!
