A quick one for this week's Baby Bunching bests.

Jen over at Oscarelli had me laughing almost to tears with her post about how her most perfect outing went awry. I only laugh because I have been there more than once and assume that everyone else has had a similar experience. I'm glad we can laugh from these experiences and hope they make us grow for the next one.

Caitlin over at A Hen and Two Three Chicks writes a very poetic post about One Mother's Work. I love this.

Super Ninja Mommy at Two Under Two is looking for a name for her fifth baby. We've talked about names before and I imagine with each baby the "perfect" name must get more and more difficult.

Tara over at The Young Mommy Chronicles follows up with her birth control choice and how happy she is. OK, I know that's a strange topic for a 'best,' but c'mon, I've polled our readers and know that many of us have gotten into the Baby Bunching predicament as a result of lackadaisical birth control. Just thought I'd share.

I apologize for missing this last week. I'm back on track this week.

Elizabeth at Su La Li had a very 'shitty' day earlier in the week, quite literally. Poop in the bathtub is the worst, but she had a few aftershocks as well to liven up the last few hours of the evening.

Kristen over at Motherhood Uncensored explains how the baby pool is sacred and we Baby Bunchers know it is the safest place to stash our whole brood and keep them together. What happens when big kids take over the baby pool? Sometimes mom has to become the baby pool bitch.

MamaNeena over at The Adventures and Misadventures of Uber-Mom explains why grandparents are so wonderful. I'm pretty sure she must have my kids in her car. You have to love the honest grandma.

Jana over at The Meanest Mom took her four kids to the US Mint on an outing this week. Yes, outings are the theme for Baby Bunchers this week. Love the ratio of 2 hours drive time: 12 minutes doing the visit (including bathroom visits).   

Jean over at Stimeyland has a bit of a math dilemma--six working seatbetls and seven people. Who is the least expendable when her sister comes to town? Plus, you just have to love her recent outing story.

Judy over at A Diva Moment discovers the beauty of Baby Bunching when her almost 2-year old is able to somewhat entertain her 7-month old. Ahhhh....these are good moments for usBaby Bunchers.

Momma Bear had me cracking up with her post-Chipotle-margarita-Whole-Foods-shopping trip. I'm guessing $345 later she realized that was a very expensive margarita! See how Baby Bunching can be hazardous to your pocketbook.

Jen over at Sabbatical Mom writes about her youngest two (both four) and their "twibling" rivalry. I love how preschoolers can forgive and forget (mainly the forget part). I think we all need a lesson in that.

Katja over at Skimbaco Lifestyle fesses up on her clutter situation and "cleaning tips." The Style Network’s Trish Suhr gives her a bit of advice. I thought since laundry was the topic this week, this was a good post to include.

MaryBeth or (Mehwee Beff as her daughter calls her) over at Four Silly Sisters is having clothing battles in her house.....with, yes, four girls. Our house fights these battles these everyday, but we only have one girl in the house. Strangely enough, my son challenges me almost as much as my daughter on outfit changes. 

Isabel over at Bed Timing gives some kick-ass advice for Baby Bunchers on sleep issues for toddler and baby!! If your kids are having sleep problems--cribs, big boy beds, etc.--perhaps this will offer some comfort and advice.

Crazy Mom to Three over at Diary of a Crazy Mom to Three celebrates finally finding a preschool to would take both her youngest two girls. I can completely empathize with her relief.

Mary over at The Adventures of a Mommy Maestro asks if you've thanked your potty today. She provides a hysterical list of the top 10 reasons we should be thankful for the potty.

Susan over at One Year Apart writes about watching her toddler steer the double stroller. I'm amazed this went off as well as it did.

Tara over at The Young Mommy Life ponders what else to feed her two-year old who will only eat bananas, yogurt, Cheerios and oranges. Can kids survive entirely on Cheerios?

Laura over at Are We Nearly There Yet, Mummy? made me laugh out loud with her four-year old's creative uses for their cork collection. Yes, they have one and she'll tell you all about it.

Perhaps you have been wondering what has happened to our weekly Baby Bunching Bests? Well, in order to survive my recent move to our new house last week (meaning packing before, moving and attempting to unpack) something had to give and my apologies since it was this. I should be back up and reading blogs again this week. More to come about this move.

Andrea over at DC Metro Moms list what life is like with her Bunch--three little boys.

Jessica over at A Bushel and a Peck laments about her Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day which involved the DMV. The good upside to days like these is the next one has to be better.

So we've talked about the gear we recommend as you make your foray into Baby Bunching:

1) Double Stroller (This is a must have. You can try it without, but we don't recommend it.)
2) Sling/Baby Bjorn/Some other kind of carrier (Get one. Borrow one. Beg for one.)
3) Second baby monitor (This is a maybe, but it's worth researching.)
4) Second crib (Almost definitely a yes. Get one. Borrow one. Beg for one.)

We have one more item to add to the list: high chair.

When I became pregnant with baby #2, my son was seven months. He had only recently made his jump into the high chair. Do the math and you'd know that eventually both kids would need to be in some kind of kid-friendly chair (preferably one they can't get out of).

The current high chair I was using was a solid wood chair which had been my high chair as a child. It was nice and sturdy (I thought) and was a beast to clean. We finally migrated to a Fisher Price Healthy Care Booster seat.  I really cannot say enough fabulous things about this. I would say as early as 6 months a child could sit comfortably in this seat. Which means for $30 you can buy two and save yourself the hassle of ever having to purchase an expensive high chair. Really.

My other recommendation is the Ikea Antilop high chair. We bought this chair when my daughter actually fell out of my "nice" wood one. It just broke one day and she slipped out. I was terrified and grateful that I was right there to catch her. This high chair is SO awesome. First of all it's all plastic. There are very few places for food to get stuck so I would take it outside and literally hose it down about once a week. It's $20 and for an extra $10 you can buy the tray. Buy the tray! It's worth the extra $10. This also comes apart to store for later.

There are many options out there for great Baby Bunching high chairs, and I want to mention this new one from Graco, which I've heard mixed reviews about mainly because it has so many parts. But if this isn't an issue, it might be worth a try!

Krysten over at Really, Are you Serious? writes about her trip to the ER this week when her daughter's dresser fell on top of her. This really hit home with me because my daughter did this TWICE this week.  Two times more than she ever has before.

Jean at Stimeyland (one of the funniest people in print and in person) writes about her not-so-stellar day of feeling tired, overweight (OMG...this is my EVERY day) and wanting to just make it through. It really sucks when mom isn't feeling 100% because it makes the whole day hard to handle...especially when you run out of hot dog buns.  

Felicia over at Raising Irish Twins is trying to get her Bunch of the bottles, binkies, and in their own beds. Here at Baby Bunching, we're all about the baby 'bling' including bottles AND binkies! As a mom who let her kids go until 17 months and 2 year respectively, I have no advice. Do you?

Kristen over at Motherhood Uncensored writes about her own 'Bonnie and Clyde.' Partners in crime is one of the "perks" of Baby Bunching.

Whitney over at Rookie Moms has a great suggestion for storing the stroller by the door. This was such a simple and obvious solution to my entryway mess...how come I didn't think of this?

My life has been inundated with new house and birthday the past week so here are the Baby Bunching bests from the past two weeks.

Super Ninja Mommy over who writes at Two Under Two recently started a separate blog called Cinco Surprise dedicated to her fifth baby, which will put her at possibly three under two. She has a scare this week at a potential miscarriage, but it turns out everything looks fine. As a mom who has had this happen, I know how emotional the first trimester can be.

Rachel over at Oh, My God I'm a Mom writes about how her ego has gotten the best of her, and she's disappointed that even a great tube of lipstick doesn't make her feel better.

Momma Bear over at Momma Bear writes about the "Momma Flap" and all its versatility. She has some very creative uses for that extra bit of skin us Baby Bunchers are accustomed to.

Jess over at A Bushel and a Peck is cleaning out her toy room. I love reading about organization because no matter how much we organize as the kids grow and their toys change we have to readjust.

Stacey over at Any Mommy Out There writes about her attempt to get everyone out of the door. I'm pretty sure she's been spying at my house because this is almost verbatim what goes on for us. Every. Single. Day.

My apologies for not doing this last week. Life has been hectic here. Job interview, moving (selling and buying), a trip out of town, plus a deadline for an article all in one week. I'm strapped for time. But with husband officially on a place to the San Francisco all week and half our house loaded into a POD, I think I may find some time to get caught up. I mean, heck, I don't have any clutter left to pick up.

So here are this week's Baby Bunching Bests.

Lindsay over at Graco's Heart to Heart has info on a new Graco high chair called the Blossom 4-in-1 which she says is perfect for Baby Bunchers. What I like is that you can actually break the chair into two configurations at the same time for closely spaced children.

Jenni over at Oscarelli discovered her toddler knows the F-word. As many of us Baby Bunchers can attest to, foul language from us can become a norm in a house with baby + toddler. By the 10th time I heard my son yell s**t I decided I needed to clean up my potty mouth. Too bad since things like "holy moley" and "rats" just aren't as fun to say.

Apparently Kate over at The Big Piece of Cake is having the same conversation as Jenni is with her toddler. The F-word is popular this week.
