I don't think I'm ever going to get out of Babyland, but I do love it here. I just wish somebody gave you an extra set of hands or three upon entry! Someday I'll have knick knacks and DVDs rated higher than G. But for now I'll just enjoy the craziness of baby and toddler stuff filling my home to the brim! #1 just turned 3, #2 is 19 mo., and #3 is almost 3 months now. Blessings!

Rach, I don't think I will ever get out of babyland either! ;-) Yet, the swing was put away into the attic, and pumping supplies and equipment were put away to storage. I had to go digging through cloths that my kids who grow way to quikly have moved out of, and found, Oops! I gave away a LOT of clothes. Hee hee. But for us, I know ages 3.5 and under, and have a lot to learn as my oldest grows. In addition to learning the different personalities of my wee ones, and the differences between my girls and my son. Our house is controled chaos, (example: at this moment, oldest daughter "cooking" on the couch, while middle daughter stuffs a fuzzy blanket up baby brother's shirt, and then they run around in circles around the house. Full of giggles and silliness!) Middle daughter is facinated with my ever expanding baby bump, and talks about it all the time, and even has her own at times, such as now!
I do agree that the more kids, and pregnancies we go through I am more relaxed, and back to enjoying the flutters from baby within. I do wonder when it will stop for us, but the Lord knows and we shall see where we land.

Our number three is expected in March - and that will make three under three for us(oldest will have just turned 3, middle will be 20 months, and then our newborn)! I guess the first two didn't slow me down enough! :)
I've gotten a few crazy looks from those who find out, and even a disapproving congratulations from the mother in law, but I feel like we're blessed. So many people struggle to have even one child, and God has filled my family with three!

I'm a little nervous about the craziness that will be my life in the next few years, but I know that I wouldn't have it any other way.

I haven't gotten out of babyland yet and will have #4 when my oldest turns 3 years and 9 months old in december. Having a 3, 2, and 1 year old definately has made this pregnancy merge with the others and most of the time I can't remember what happened during which pregnancy! But I honestly love the little spacing between kids. Just not sure I can convince my husband for 5 under 5...only time will tell :)

Loved this post, and it's so true. I honestly NEVER thought I would leave Babyland (first 2 are 17 months apart, 3rd is 3 years younger than middle). #3 is now 3 years old and months (hopefully weeks!) away from leaving diapers behind and that is our last official remnant of Babyland. Part of me is relieved, but with one foot planted in the elementary school world and the other still in preschool, part of me looks longingly at the "younger" moms at preschool with babies strapped on. I'm kinda sad that my time in Babyland was such a blur - and now it's gone. Trying to savor every minute, even in the chaos, because it just goes too fast. : (

Good stuff as per usual, thanks. I do hope this kind of thing gets more exposure.
