My kids love pancakes! Every morning, even at the a**crack of dawn, they ask for them, but it's just too much for me to get my act together for pancakes most days. I was delighted to watch this video of Jamie Oliver making pancakes with the oldest two of his Bunch! (Yes, he's a Baby Bunching dad of four!)
We made these pancakes every week during December and now going into the winter, it's a quick (and fun) way to start the morning. For some reason winter mornings scream for pancakes and syrup, especially on those snow days. The recipe is simple and one that your kids can help with: 1 cup of self-rising flour (or make your own), 1 cup of milk and 1 egg! Add in ingredients that your kids like or just eat them plain. Seriously, they come out perfect every time.
Sounds great. We make an extra batch & freeze some. Then just toast the morning you want to eat... better than buying processed pancakes

I remember watching this last Christmas on TV but never got around to trying the recipe, but now I will, thanks! One of the best things is that because the batter keeps for a couple of days, it can be made *the night before* you intend to have them, ready to go in the morning without having to faff around with the flour in the midst of small children. Anyone else got any easy breakfast ideas?
