Maybe I'm in the minority, but I just can't even fathom paying for preschool to have someone else teach my children these things... especially since even my 2.5 year old knows how to do almost everything in this list (still struggling with zipping her own coat ).

I'm going to have to agree with Natalie's comment from the previous preschool admissions post completely. I have a 2.5 year old, a 1.5 year old (14 months apart) and am 6 months pregnant and do not find it a chore or an impossible task to teach my children these extremely simple lessons. In fact, it's fun! Not all days, but most of the time :)

Preschool takes on a whole different tone when you have back-to-back kids I think. It is just not relaxing to drop off only one child somewhere for me with this kind of spacing (11.5 months); it can be expensive to drop off two at some places where the option does exist (hard to find). And getting out the door is so hard that sometimes I don't know why I have my girls (3 and 4) in preschool(s). I don't do it for their learning though. I do it thinking they will have fun being a part of it.
