The current state of the economy has us all thinking of ways to cutback. A Mom's Night Out (MNO) can get expensive with dinners, drinks, movie, etc. But MNO, along with date night, is one event every Baby Bunching mother needs.
My mom's group started Cooking Club three years ago as a way for moms to get out and be with each other while learning new recipes. (Think book club with a focus on food.) Every month the group votes on a food theme and everyone bring a dish to go with that month's theme. So far we've had themes such as: green food, spring food, slow cooker food, appetizers, things with five ingredients or less, healthy food, 30-minute meals, foods named after places, ethnic food, dessert foods, soups, chili cook off, mom's favorites, cooking with apples.
With dish in hand, we meet at one person's home who provides drinks, plates, utensils, and we eat. At the end of each meal, we talk about our dish and the recipe. What I love about this concept is it's so great to try other foods--some tried and true and other new experiments--and then get the recipes. Many times we get tips on what made the recipe better and what would help get our kids to eat it, too.
What do you do with your friends for a MNO?
We celebrate each other's birthdays. Sometimes we group the birthdays (I'm a March and I celebrate with two other Marches), but the birthday girl(s) get to pick the activity - brunch, mani/pedis, dinner and drinks, dancing - last year there was even a sleepover. Since we have a good group of about a dozen girls, it's an almost monthly excuse to get out!

This is an awesome idea. If you need a healthy chocolate dish dessert try this one: http://www.fertilefoods.com/healthy-pregnancy/fertility/chocolate-mousse-recipe/
It's actually really delicious. Thanks for the great idea, I'm going to try to implement it with the mama's to be at the gym before the babies arrive!

Houses and cars are not very cheap and not everyone is able to buy it. But, business loans was created to support people in such situations.
